• Duty free shopping exploded in popularity during Chinese New Year holiday

    During 2017 Chinese New Year golden week holiday, tourists flooded into Sanya to spend their holiday. The city received 957,300 tourists, up 14.07% year on year, and realized a total tourism revenue of RMB 9.064 billion , up 19.6% over one year earlier. Duty free shopping maintained its populatiry, and the CDFG Sanya International Duty Free shipping Complex recorded a strong business performance, registering more than 250,000 customers, up 26% year on year, and duty free sales revenue reached RMB 290 million, up 6% over one year earlier.


    Customers flooded into the Sanya International Duty Free Complex during the Chinese New Year holiday and gathered around brand stores to select their favorite goods, among which perfume and cosmetics were always the first choice.

    Both customer traffic and sales saw significant increases over the same period of last year. The shopping complex offered a good customer experience while maintaining smooth operation, thanks to the early preparation to cope with the stress brought by the CNY peak season. To meet diverse customer demands, The shopping complex made thorough preparation covering every detail in business operation, conducted a comprehensive safety check, and exerted rigorous control over food safety, thereby creating a comfortable shopping and dining environment. A series of measures were taken into pleace to welcome the CNY peak season, including preparing stocks as well as logistics to ensure sufficent and diversified products can be supplied, arranging trainings to frontline sales staff, steamling work procedures as well as optimizing customer experience.
