Airports
Finding opportunities in high-end commercial retail stores in domestic departure lounges, CDFG quickly set up the L'île du Luxe stores which offer top international brands of perfume, cosmetics, clothes, jewelry and watches. Currently, there are L'île du Luxe stores and high-end brand stores in airports in Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Dalian, Xi’an, Chengdu, Guiyang, Shenyang and Changsha, with a total area of over 10,000 m2. This move fills up the gap in international luxury retail in domestic departure lounges.
Chinese Specialty Products
Targeted at the market of high-end and high-value-added Chinese specialty souvenirs, CDFG created the retail brand "Thousand-step Gallery". These stores insist on independent product design, research, development and manufacturing, and serve as a platform for selling ten categories of Chinese specialty souvenirs, including toys, stationery, clothes, bags, food, and household supplies.
High-speed Rail
In 2012, a new breakthrough has been made in the duty free travel retail business, marked by the successful bid for the integrated business project in Hongqiao High-Speed Railway Station of Shanghai. CDFG was therefore entitled to operate all other commercial space in the departure floor of the station except refreshment and reading areas. Given that China’s high speed rail system accommodates the world’s largest commercial space, longest railways and most prominent commercial demand, the business extension to the system allows CDFG to initially form a large, comprehensive travel retail program.
Franchised Products
In 2003, CDFG became one of the first licensed retailers with authorization from Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (BOCOG). Up to 78 franchise stores were opened in airports, borders, railway stations and ports across the country and made a total sales volume of over RMB 400 million.
In 2009, CDFG was designated as the licensed retail service provider for the Shanghai World Expo. With its successful experience in Olympic licensed merchandise, CDFG beefed up the licensed merchandise for the Expo and other major activities and events in line with the diversified development strategy.
