• CDFG launches festive campaign


    CDFG's Hainan stores launched a themed promotional campaign to celebrate the Lantern Festival (the 15th day of the first month on the traditional Chinese calendar) and Valentine's Day (14 February). Offering an immersive experience for visitors, the marketing campaign featured flash mob performances, traditional Chinese design elements, free flower giveaways and exclusive shopping benefits. 

    Running from 12 February until 16 February, the promotions incorporated Haikou's Fucheng Lantern and Flower Exchange Festival, a local custom with a centuries-old history. cdf Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex Aura atrium was transformed into a popular photo spot, adorned with installations of CDFG's new Year of the Snake mascot and decorations of the ongoing Chinese New Year Garden Fair.
    Shoppers hitting the spending targets received bouquets as gifts.
    On Valentine's Day, cdf Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex gave away 1,314 roses at its east gate and rolled out special packages and themed activities at the Malt & More Whisky museum, adding a romantic touch to the festivities.
    In partnership with various brands, cdf Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex offered additional shopping rewards such as gifts for meeting spending targets and bonus points, complemented by government consumption vouchers.
    The entertainment line-up featured a flash mob performance by volunteer artists from the Hainan Provincial Federation of Literary and Arts Organisations on Lantern Festival day.
    During Hong Kong pop singer Jacky Cheung's concert tour on 21-23 February, cdf Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex will offer special experiences, including exclusive shopping and dining benefits for concertgoers.
    cdf Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex highlighted the sales surge during the recent Chinese New Year holiday shopping season, with strong demand for international luxury brands. These include Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci and Prada, as well as jewellery and watch brands such as Bulgari, Van Cleef & Arpels and popular Chinese brands such as Huawei.
    cdf Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex has been continuously strengthening its brand portfolio by adding a mix of luxury houses, sports brands, homegrown favourites and dining concepts.
    Recent additions such as Bulgari's inaugural Haikou store and the MLB flagship concept, along with immersive experiences such as Huawei's New Year Photo Studio and Elizabeth Arden's Chinese New Year pop-up store, have further enhanced the overall retail experience for consumers.
    Looking ahead, CDFG will deepen its presence in the Hainan market, innovate marketing strategies and improve services to support the development of the international tourism and consumption center.
