Grand Opening of CITS Group Cambodia Angkor Duty Free Store
On December 30, 2014, the highly anticipated CITS Group Angkor Duty Free Store grandly opened in Siem Reap in Cambodia. Nearly 200 people including Deputy Prime Minister Keat Chhon of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Minister of Ministry of Tourism Thong Khon, major officials of Siem Reap at all levels, CITS Group chairman, general manager Wang Weimin, Vice President Peng Hui, Chief Accountant Yan Jianping, Vice President Yu Ningning, and President Assistant Chen Zhixin of CITS, as well as representatives of international suppliers and partners attended the opening celebrations.At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Wang Weimin said that CITS Group quickly took root, flourished and bore fruits regarding its overseas business in Cambodia, which was due to great support of the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Deputy Prime Minister Keat Chhon and distinguished guests and it is also the crystallization of the traditional friendship between China and Cambodia. With Cambodian government’s strong support, Angkor Duty Free Store will provide tourists with colorful travel shopping experience by virtue of its first-class brand, products, service and environment and will make a positive contribution to the development of tourism in Cambodia. Wang Weimin announced soon afterwards that Angkor Duty Free Store will donate part of the revenue of the first week after the opening to donate to the Children's Hospital in Siem Reap, thank all walks of life with practical action and constantly retribute to the society.Keat Chhon, on behalf of the Government of Cambodia, expressed acknowledgement for CITS Group and CDFG’s active participation in the investment in Cambodia, and wished Angkor Duty Free Store a successful opening and operation. He thanked CITS Group’s support for Cambodia's tourism industry, hoping to promote the unique tourism resources in Cambodia to China and the world through good cooperation with CITS Group.Peng Hui presided over the ribbon-cutting ceremony. After the ceremony, Wang Weimin, together with all the guests, visited Angkor Duty Free Store’s cosmetics, perfume, boutique clothing, bags, watches and Cambodian local specialty area, and made a detailed presentation of the store layout and brand situation to Keat Chhon and Thong Khon.Angkor Duty Free Store is CITS Group's first overseas duty-free store outside the Greater China area and also Cambodia's first government-approved duty-free shop in the city, which filled the gaps in the city's duty-free format. On the opening day, leaders of CITS Head Office and 15 local offices as well as CDFG and CDFG in Cambodia held seminars to discuss tourist promotion and cooperation of Angkor Duty Free Store, and strive to expand CITS Group’s businesses overseas.
