On July 27, 2012, the CDFG Donation Ceremony for the Library of Xinying Middle School in Lingao County was held successfully in the meeting room of the Lingao County Committee. Li Jianghua, Secretary of the Lingao County Committee, Cao Wen, Vice Secretary of the County Committee and Secretary of the Politics and Law Committee, Yan Yulong, County CPC Committee Member and First Deputy County Chief, Fu Yutong, President of the County Education Foundation, Xie Xinghong, Director of the County Education Bureau and Secretary General of the County Education Foundation, and Xu Gaofeng, Vice Director of the County Education Bureau and Council Member of the County Education Foundation all attended this donation activity. Chen Jianshan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of CDFG and Lu Jianxin, Director of CDFG’s office in Hainan Province both attended the activity on behalf of CDFG. The CDFG’s office in Hainan Province took charge of the logistical support work of this activity.
This donation ceremony was held by the Lingao County Education Foundation, which is a non-public foundation registered in and approved by the Department of Civil Affairs of Hainan Province. Since its establishment in August 2005, this foundation has received 36,381,413.25 Yuan from about 300,000 people, of which over 28 million Yuan has been used in the construction of schools.
The 3 million Yuan CDFG donated to the Lingao County Education Foundation at this ceremony will be used for the construction of the library of Xinying Middle School in Lingao County. The library was to be completed in the autumn of 2013. After this, it should provide abundant learning and reading materials for the students, which should improve the hardware in Xinying Middle School.
At the donation ceremony, Li Jianghua, Secretary of the Lingao County Committee, introduced the recent developments of Lingao County. He pointed out that Lingao County is implementing a strategy of ecological, industrial development to enrich the people and the construction of urban-rural integration. He also described the future prospects of a rich, vibrant, livable, harmonious and happy Lingao to the representatives at the ceremony. Meanwhile, Li Jianghua expressed his expectation of the education development of Lingao. He hoped that more social energy would be put towards the educational business of Lingao, and help promote the educational equality in the region.
During the donation ceremony, Chen Jianshan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of CDFG, said that investment in public welfare is a principle that CDFG always adheres to. Chen Jianshan made an introduction at the ceremony: “CDFG pays much attention to supporting the local public welfare. Since the off-island duty-free policy has been implemented, the CDFG Sanya Duty Free Store has been exploring the potential of a local tourist economy in the Hainan market, and it has achieved great success. We hope to share our growth with the local community. We are so proud of donating towards the construction of the library of Xinying Middle School and promoting educational equality in Lingao.”
At the end of the ceremony hosted by Cao Wen, Vice Secretary of County Committee and Secretary of Politics and Law Committee, Fu Yutong, President of County Education Foundation and Chen Jianshan, Secretary of Party Committee and Vice President of CDFG signed a donation agreement. The ceremony ended successfully. In the future, CDFG will practice its commitment with practical action, actively take on its corporate responsibility, and create a good social atmosphere by “paying attention to public welfare, and devoting our love and support”.
